#12 FREEDOM!

While I am definitely happy for my freedom as an American, today I am grateful for my personal freedom.

I'm out of quarantine!  Here's some pictures I took from my first walk of freedom down to the beach in Tel Aviv, just in time for the sunset.

#11 - Less that a day until "freedom"

Yesterday was day 9 of quarantine, which means I was eligible to get a 2nd Covid test in order to shorten my isolation time. If your test upon arrival is negative you can test again on day 9 to be free after day 10 instead of after day 14.

I'm free tomorrow!!!

[which really means I can go to the grocery store and go on a run since we are in lockdown, but I'm not picky)

#10 A taste of freedom

I got to go outside today!!!

It was to get a 2nd Coronavirus test, but the reason was not important. I WENT OUTSIDE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 9 DAYS!

If this test comes back negative, quarantine is shortened from 14 days to 10. (We ARE in lockdown, but I will be able to go outside to exercise every day.)

 Fingers crossed!

#4 Mom's birthday and Dr. Pepper during quarantine

Back to school today! It was a great day for teaching but it got even better when I found THIS on the grocery website:

Rare is the day I've seen a Dr. Pepper in Israel so how lucky for me I found them while in Day 2 of quarantine!

I'm also super grateful today for my Mommy! Today is her birthday and I made her a calendar from my safari for her birthday. I just got off the phone with her where I was able to listen to her open it. She loved it!

When I moved overseas I found out quickly that my mother was a safe haven and my biggest fan. During that first semester that was so awful, when I called home crying at least once a week, my mother is the one I wanted. She kept telling me I could do it. She encouraged me to stay and reminded me that I was pursuing a dream I've aways had. I don't know if she feels the same way, but since I've moved abroad we have become closer and closer and I am so grateful to have her in my life!

Me and my Mommy...then and closer to now.
